Tropical garden

In the tropical garden, the first section of the Reinhardt park and gardens, the effects of local climate and weather, as well as the ground conditions were to be researched on a number of plants (tropical, sub-tropical, annual summer flowers and perennial herbs) (More)

A labyrinth was created out of a two-meter-tall Canna musifola hedge. Narrow garden paths lined with summer flowers were laid through tropical and sub-tropical vegetation. The garden always has something to surprise visitors with a wide variety of freshly-planted summer flowers, full-grown banana trees, angel’s trumpets, abutilon, and ginger.

The exotic garden experiment was ended in 2008 as it was a very exhausting undertaking. Afterwards, Thomas and Martina Reinhardt concentrated on the herbaceous borders and olive grove garden.
